Meet the Land Bank’s New Sales & Development Director

Alexandria T. RileyWe are happy to announce that Alexandria T. Riley has joined the Genesee County Land Bank Authority as our new Sales & Development Director, bringing to the role over 20 years of experience in public service, real estate and construction management.  Born and raised in Pontiac, Alexandria most recently served as the city's Chief Development Officer, overseeing contract compliance and acquisition of outside funds through grants and other private investment.  Her distinctive ability to secure funding and build partnerships with outside agencies, foundations, and national organizations helped her raise over $4.2 million in grant dollars for City of Pontiac residents in a single fiscal year.  As the Vice President of the Pontiac Housing Commission, Alexandria led the effort to ensure compliance with federal HUD regulations and assisted in transitioning the local agency out of troubled status to recognition as a HUD model performing agency. 

Alexandria has a passion for people and a heart for service.  Prior to joining the Land Bank and holding various roles in government, she served as a Workforce Development Consultant to Michigan WORKS!, helping to create thousands of jobs annually.  Previously, she was the Youth Development Director for the Boys & Girls Club of North Oakland County and has held numerous board, committee and advisory service positions including lifetime membership in the NAACP, Michigan Disabilities Network, and the National Association of Negro Business & Professional Women's Club.  As an entrepreneur, Alexandria started and managed several businesses including Capitol Construction & Development Company.  Alexandria majored in political science at the University of Michigan-Flint and holds licenses from the State Board of Michigan as a Real Estate Broker and Residential Builder.  Alexandria currently resides in Oakland County and is active in her faith and calling to serve God.
