Genesee County Land Bank was named one of three national finalists in the Fannie Mae Affordable Housing Innovations Award. The grand prize is $100,000. The land bank is one on the short list to receive a $100,000 Fannie Mae Foundation grants for innovations in government. Genesee Land Bank is on of eighteen finalists for the prestigious Innovations in American Government Award. The Innovations in American Government Awards, founded in 1986, is a program of the Ash Institute for Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. The award is administered in partnership with the Council for Excellence in Government in Washington. More than 1,000 were submitted, there will be seven winners on a $100,000 prize.
