To view a bid packet, click on the appropriate Bid or Attachment. To submit a bid packet, print the bid documents. Submit your completed bid packet and required documents to the Genesee County Land Bank prior to the due date and time stated in the bid. Bids submitted after the stated time will not be accepted.

If you will like to be on our demolition contractors list, or housing renovation/builders list please contact Lucille James by email at ljames@thelandbank.org for an application to make you meet the minimum requirements.

To become a pre-qualified demolition contractor with the Genesee County Land Bank all contractors must met the requirements below and other requirements as sated in the Invitation to Bid.

  • A State of Michigan Residential Builders License in the name of the applicant.
  • Must be able to secure Certificate of Liability Insurance, Workman’s Compensation Insurance, Bid Bond and Performance/Payment Bond.
  • Contractor must be Section 3 certified. If you need workers to help you to meet the section 3 requirements please contact Lorie Dumond from Mott Community College Workforce Development at 810-232-2510 or by email at lorie.dumond@mcc.edu.
  • Evidence of Financial Stability & itemized list of Equipment to demonstrate capacity to complete the scope of work.

The Genesee County Land Bank Demolition Program is funded as a federally funded activity authorized under the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008. All successful bidders must comply with the federal labor standards, including the Davis-Bacon Act and the Copeland Anti-Kickback legislation; federal equal opportunity requirements; and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968.

All Land Bank employees and contractors wear identification when on site. If you have any questions if someone should be on Land Bank property ask for identification. If they cannot produce identification call the Land Bank immediately to confirm that they should be on the property. (810) 257-3088
